These two beauties are my lovely sisters!
They have been travelling the world this summer while I sit at a desk ALL. SUMMER. (it really isn’t that bad i’m just being dramatic).  I couldn’t be more proud of them, and their desires to share the love of God in any way that they can be used to do so. My older sister Katie (left) is returning TOMORROW from Ireland, where she has been visiting for the second time to serve; this time with a team from Edmonton.  Steph (right) just left on Sunday for South Africa for two and half weeks (also for the second time) where she will be working with an organization called Hands at Work.
Need something to pray for?! :) These girls need it and I know that they would be so blessed by your prayers, as mission trips are AMAZING and fun, but also sometimes difficult and stretching (especially upon return)!
For Katie you can pray…
> That all the work that God has done through Katie and her team would be sealed, and that the lives that were impacted by God in Ireland would continue to pursue Him and spread the love of Jesus.
> That Katie would have a smooth transition into home living, as she is leaving a place that holds a HUGE piece of her heart.
> That Katie would be kept safe & healthy during these next few days of travel (and this next week or so of jet lagged agony).
> For the country of Ireland, that God’s love would continue to set hearts on fire.

For Steph you can pray…
> That God would use Steph to impact lives for the kingdom, and that he would do new works in her heart as well.
> That she would seek out and embrace new experiences and opportunities to see God move in SA.
> For the rest of her team (18 people in total), that they would be protected from sickness, and that God would unify them and help them to work effectively as a team.
> For the country of South Africa, that lives would continue to be changed by the love of God!
Thank you for your prayers! Hope everyone is having a GREAT week!

thanks Lord.

for the past few weeks my church has been trying out a new kids program, and last night was my first night there.  as i spent time hanging out with the kids, and also talking with the adults who came for supper and to hear the message, i was reminded of how important acts of service are to our spiritual health and growth.  i’m sad to admit that it has been a while since i have really served, at least with the right heart. last night i was able to allow God to really use me, and by the time the night ended i was truly humbled and all i could do was spend time thanking God that he has allowed me to be a part of bringing people closer to him.

i came to the realization that lately i have been failing to recognize that God can work through the little things like helping with registration or leading kids songs, just as powerfully as he can work through the huge things. God reminded me that he can and will use those little things to reveal himself through us. all we need to do is have a willing and humble heart.
